SunGard wanted to lift the experienced sales staff to the next level

- Interview with Håkan Björklund, Country Manager & Director of Sales Sweden

What was the situation you wanted to improve?
– I was convinced that we needed to work more structured with our sales and I needed somebody who stepped in and helped me coach and develop the sales staff. My time was not enough to be a internal sales coach and I also wanted somebody with long experience to discuss the sales development with. Many times iyou are lonely at the top. I wanted increased tempo, more activities, more quality in the sales process and increased turnover. I called in several quotes but was tired to buy traditional sales consulting and training. I wanted more than a temporary vitamin injection.

What made you choose SPM+ and our web based method?
– Your concept with the SPM+ sales coaching system and online coaches really got me interested. Cheaper, more modern and a method that really sounded sustainable in the long run. You dared to promise me my money back if we did not accieve any measurable improvements, I liked that. To get a really interesting sales coaching system, user support free of charge and coaching from a experienced sales trainer for only £ 30 / person / month was to good not to try. I am really happy today that i dared try something new. 

What has happened since you started with SPM+ as sales coaching system?
– To my surprise the sales staff was positive to the SPM+ system and the coaching from day one. It is easy for them to use and gives them a totally new help to coach themselves to success. We have a really good CRM system, but i realised that it did not give this clear picture of how to increase the sales results. All sales staff have increased their business both with new customers but also with their existing clients. We are actually two sales staff less than planned and have a higher turnover than before. The coaching we bought as an extra service from SPM+ has opened my eyes and it is easier to find ways to improve. Every month me and my SPM+ coach go through the results in the system and create a plan what to do the nextcoming month. Today i also have given every sales staff their own SPM+ coach, so they get more help than I can give them. The result is more motivation, better results and increased turnover.

Can you recommend other Sales managers to work with SPM+ ?
– I recommend all companies selling products and services B2B to start with the SPM+ system and your online coaching method. It´s actually a no brainer concidering that you promise all money back if no results are improved.
